Under the Weather
So it's been a while since I've written, I've been across the country and back and in the process, had a nasty insect bite that sent me to urgent care, as well as a cold fueled by air travel. Today's the first day I have actually felt back to normal, or at least somewhat normal.
It's been a nice, relaxing weekend, and after sleeping in and lounging a while, we made it out of the house a couple of times. Yesterday we went to the Southwest Museum to see the design/build project that Stu worked on called Sonic Bloom shown above. We also went to SCI-Arc to check out the latest gallery exhibition by Emergent + Buro Happold, Dragonfly, seen below.
Today, MOTA Day, where the Museums Of The Arroyo are open for free, gave us the opportunity to tour the famed Gamble House by Greene & Greene in Pasadena, which was built in the Arts & Crafts style in 1908. We also visited the Lummis Home and the Heritage Square Museum. See glimpses of these below in consecutive order.
